UPDATE from Feb. 28th
FWD: From Teresa’s father, Dr. Roch Johnston: “Took pressure monitor out and one drain. Has full recognition of family and friends. Able to move arms and legs. Hopefully respirator comes off tomorrow if all goes well.”
Please keep Teresa in your prayers.
Forwarded news about Teresa Johnston from her mother:
Our dear Teresa is still in a very critical condition. Even though the surgery went well, the edema in the brain is still not decreasing and there is not much room left even without part of her skull. The medical staff has been working hard to keep Teresa stable. They put her back in heavier induced coma. We pray really hard that the brain stops swelling!
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support.
God’s will be done.
UPDATE: Thank you for all of your prayers! The surgery lasted about 5 hours but the surgeon is happy with the results. There’s a 10% chance she suffered a brain stem stroke. But we’re praying for the best. They’re taking her off all of the coma-inducing drugs, but she will remain on general pain killers. In couple days, if she responds well, they will start the neurological assessment test
UPDATE: There is a pressure build up in her brain that is not receding, and they are preparing to preform brain surgery on Teresa at this very moment; emergency surgery 2/20 2017.
Please Pray For Teresa Johnston, a 13 yr old Girl from California.
A tree fell on her in a storm.
She sustained multiple skull fractures and internal bleeding.
We will give updates as they are made known to us.
REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
