Dear friends and benefactors,

In my Newsletter #13 of last month I spoke about the essence of the devotion of reparation. This month I wish to explain the practice this devotion of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
“In the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph ….”, said Our Lady on July 13, 1917. St. Louis De Montfort says: “Finally, Mary must become as terrible as an army in battle array to the devil and his followers, especially in these latter times.” (True Devotion No. 50)

This triumph of the Immaculate Heart over the devil cannot be easily realized, unless a planned action is organized under the leadership of the Blessed Virgin Mary Herself. For “the most fearful enemy that god has set up against the devil is Mary His Holy Mother.” (True Devotion No. 52)

The more the number of souls gathered around Our Lady for the intense practice of devotion to Her Immaculate Heart, the sooner this triumph will be realized. According to Sr. Lucia (1946), “a sufficient number of people should comply” with the practice of Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary – the First Saturday devotion with the intention of MAKING REPARATION for the sins committed by their blasphemies against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

THIS DEVOTION OFREPARATION CONSISTS OF:

1) CONVERSION – (Sanctification in the Immaculate Heart of Mary)
2) CONSECRATION – (Union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary)
3) CONSOLATION – (Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary)

This month let us let us know the meaning of “CONVERSION” in the Immaculate heart of Mary, and the practice of it in our life.

CONVERSION (Sanctification in the Immaculate Heart of Mary)

Practice of conversion starts with the initial “Fatima Pledge” by individuals; and then with small groups of family level and or parish level Marian Crusades of Reparation.

FATIMA PLEDGE

I Pledge myself to Our Lady Dear Queen and Mother, Who promised at Fatima to convert Russia and bring peace to all mankind; in reparation to Thine Immaculate Heart, for my sins and sins of the whole world, I solemnly promise to offer up every day the sacrifices demanded by my daily duty, to say the Rosary daily while meditating the mysteries, and to wear the Scapular of Mount Carmel as a profession of this promise and as an act of consecration to Thee, I shall renew this promise often, especially in the moment of temptation.

At least two or three members meet once a week (if possible, every day) to pray the Rosary, recite the Angel’s Prayers and the short formula of the Fatima Pledge or the Act of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary (By St. Louis De Montfort)

PRAYERS OF THE ANGEL OF FATIMA

Prayer for Pardon

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love Thee. I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee. (Thrice)

Prayer of Reparation

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the Most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ present in all he tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended; and by the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg for the conversion of poor sinners.

SHORT ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
(By St. Louis De Montfort)

O Immaculate Mother, I, (Name) an unfaithful sinner, renew and ratify today in Thy hands the promises of my Baptism; I renounce for ever Satan, his pomp and his works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have been till now. I choose Thee this day, O Mary, in the presence of all the heavenly court, for my Mother and Mistress. I deliver and consecrate to Thee, as Thy slave, my body and soul, my goods both interior and exterior, and even the value of my good actions past, present and future, I leave to Thee the entire and full right to dispose of me and all that belongs to me, without exception, as Thou pleasest, to the greater glory of God, in time and in eternity. Amen.

In these meetings, they read a passage from the “True Devotion to Mary” by St Louis De Montfort; they learn and teach the traditional teachings of the Catholic Church (at least reading the Penny Catechism); and they discuss the spiritual state of the world and of themselves – in the light of the Message of Fatima, encouraging each other to prayer, sacrifice and reparation after the example of the Fatima children; and helping each other to fight against sin and to become saints. (the program of Marian Crusade’s weekly meeting)

When a group grows in number, it divides and multiplies, being guided by voluntary leaders, and well organized by the spiritual director (a traditional priest) and through the Monthly Bulletin, not necessarily controlled by the authorities – just following the example of the First Group of Fatima Devotion of Reparation (Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta), formed by Our Lady Herself.

They entrust themselves body and soul to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and live their consecration as best as they can – so that they may gradually become united to that Motherly Heart to experience the presence of God Himself, and grow in the love of God – which is sanctity.

They organize Rosary Groups, endure sufferings, and make sacrifices for the conversion of sinners. They show good example in their dress and behavior and help others avoid occasions of sin. They keep themselves away from all sinful amusements like cinema, television, dance and all bad habit of smoking, drinking, gambling etc.

Above all, they entrust all sinners to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, so that they may receive special grace of conversion through the merciful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

“We must all obey Our Blessed Lady’s requests at Fatima. The time of doubting is long past. It is now time for action.” (Pope Pius XII, 1950)
My only joy and reward are to make SAINTS of you. Let us offer ourselves as slaves to Jesus through his blessed mother.
